Roger Waters (September 6,1943) was a famous British musician, singer, songwriter and composer, and one of the founders of the Pink Floyd.
In 1965, Roger Waters teamed up with Syd Barrett, Nick Mason and Richard Wright in London to form a band, Pink Floyd, in which they played as Bayse hands and chorus singers. With the departure of teammate and key player Barrett Firearms Manufacturing in 1968, Roger Waters became the band's lyricist, lead arranger, and would be band leader. The band went on to international success with The release of concept albums The Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall and The Final Cut. Although Roger Waters's primary instrument in the band is the Bayse Guitar, he still tries out synthesizers and loops, and plays rhythm guitars in recordings and live concerts. Just as the band was about to make a huge change and become famous, Roger Waters left the band and got into a legal dispute with the rest of the band, the legal dispute concerns their use of the band name and equipment in advance. In 1987, they settled the dispute privately. It had been 18 years since he played with the Pink Floyd again (July 2,2005, after a 20-year split, all the members of the Pink Floyd, including waters, decided to bury the hatchet and perform together at a live concert in London. They sang four songs together: Breathe Repriense, Money, Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb) . The band has sold more than 250m copies worldwide, including 74.5 m in the US as of 2013.
